Paul, from Holland

Hi there.
I am Paul, I own 2 Hearses, both 1969 Cadillac S&S, one Victoria and one Park Row. The Victoria has a bad chassis but good body and the Park Row has a good chassis and rusty and dented body, so I am going to make one nice hearse out of the two plus that gives me a lot of spare parts, enough for driving around many years. The Park Row is the one I am driving around in. It runs on LPG. It is a lot of fun to drive.




I don't speak French very well, just un petit peu.

The first hearse wasn't an ambulance at the begining ? it always had the red lamp...

Hi Paul ! Nice to meet you here. Where do you come from in Holland ? I had some friends in Holland a few years ago (Zwolle, ...). Your hearse is very funny (and dark). i love it !!! Congratulation for this original style !

We would like the hearse owners of Benelux and close countries ( Holland, Deutschland, ... ) to drive together once a year or more.

You're lucky to drive with GPL, I would like to install this system on my Cadillac (Wayne) 1974... the 8,2L drinks a lot

Hi again.
The purple Hearse was a combination (Hearse/Ambulance) back in its first days. (USA) Its chassis is in very good shape. The black Hearse (Victoria) has a rusted frame but the doors are better so this car will be used for parts. Possible that I will rebuilt the chassis some day and build up the complete car as well; I don't know yet, depends on whenever I feel like..

The red lamp on the roof did not come with this car; I got it off an American Firetruck. The 4 other lamps came from a Belgian Hearse; I put them on there myself.

Both hearses have the 472" and both are in running condition. (complete)

I live in the south part of Holland, close to Eindhoven.

I am not aware of existing about a hearse-club in Holland.

You can put me on that gravestone too. I looked at it but I don't understand how to put my name in it.

I did the flame-painting myself with my airbrush. It is temporary 'camouflage' since there is some rust on the bottom of the doors. When I replace the doors and other body parts, I will repaint the whole car, doing a lot of airbrushing on it. The basic will be purple metallic, the roof matte purple and the airbrushing... you will see when it's done. This will be a nice winterproject.

We have exactly the same lamps in our parts, we took them from another hearse.
Were have you buy your wooden casket ? I've got a casket but an american one, in iron ! It's very heavy : i need 3/4 people to hold it !

Sure, I drive it all over the place. I took it to Germany, all over Holland, in December I will take it to Bastogne. (Battle of the Bulge fests. Nothing special for the hearse but it is my better long distance transportation, better than my R4 )

14-15-16 december I will be in Bastogne but I will be very busy then. I will be there wit 12 friends, joining the WW2 re-enacting. My hearse will just be there because of it seats up to 8 people (my minibus ). I doubt if I would have time left. But I will come again. If you have a place to spend a night it is a lot easyer to drive down there.
